Hello Cones,
It has been a while since I have posted mainly because I
haven’t had much to report. I guess between cleaning floors
at night and dealing with terminally ill people 5 days a
week it takes more out of you than I imagined. Things have
been quiet for SNO with so much going on in other parts of
our lives the music has taken a backseat for a few months.
We are going to make an effort to get back out there a
little more.
Here is the SNO news. We will be performing at O’Leno State
Park on October 29th from 1-5 for SNO’s close friend Deb
Rebmann who is retiring from state employment after 30
years. As a long time state employee I can only say how
wonderful it is working for the State of Florida. I have
been told this is how I need to express myself publically if
I want to remain on the payroll. Did I tell you how great my
job is?
I have started playing a solo gig every Wednesday night at
the restaurant SAGA in Alachua (386) 518-6465 on Main
Street. I play from about 7-9pm. I am scheduled again on
Wednesday November 2nd. Wednesday can be a little tough
unless of course you have no life at all, and then there
should be no reason not to come by.
SNO performed at The Woodview Coffee House on Friday
September 9th and it can be said this was a very good show.
A great crowd, a wonderful venue, and really reminded us of
an old SNO Show from the past. Thanks to all of you that
came out. I had not seen some of you in years, and most of
you looked pretty good.
Anyway, maybe some of you will make it up to O’leno or even
come by Saga on Wednesday. That would be cool. I hope to see
some of you Cones in the near future. A quick hello to Gary
Doyle who played with Sno for a short time. He is still
picking down around the Bay area Tampa/St.Pete.
Till the next time.
